Failures:
Some of Smith's failures came from his greatest works. In the Wealth of Nations Smith wants the goverment to be free without rule and this would case major problems. Without any restraint in the goods being sold fraud could become a large problem along with that any person could basically walk in and take over the entire economy. His arrogency lead to this along with his book The Theory of Moral Sentiments. In this book he fails to represent the ever changing state of ones mind for the better or for the worst. Another fail, one that he probobly does not remember is his reading of a book. When attending Oxford University Smith was caught with David Hume's book Treatise on Human Nature. The book was confiscated and he was severly punished, exact details not known. Sortly after this incident he left Oxford. If he hadn't left Oxford he could have ended up with a prestgious title and wouldn't have wasted the remainder of his scholorship.
